Brent advises owner-managed businesses and larger corporations in all aspects of their operations, with expertise in transactional work. As a Certified Legal Project Manager, his focus is on giving clients the highest-quality legal work in an efficient and value-based manner.

Brent is also a member of our Dental Practice Group, in which he assists our professional clients in structuring and completing their transactions. He provides advice on buying or selling practices and general legal issues.

For new business ventures, Brent can advise on optimal corporate structures, vehicles, and governance models, including board of director mandates and shareholder agreements. He also has expertise in advising on the efficient management of businesses through corporate structuring.

Brent is originally from Nova Scotia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts with first-class honours at St. Francis Xavier University in 1996. He obtained a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Waterloo a year later, and earned his law degree at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton in 2000.

Before joining Brazeau Seller Law, Brent gained valuable experience working as in-house counsel with a large, federally regulated telecommunications and technology company.

For businesses that are up and running, Brent can provide advice at crucial growth and exit points. He also advises regarding share and asset transactions, financings (both debt and equity), and in commercial leasing matters.
