PROFILE

Jay completed his summer and articling programs with Brazeau Seller Law, before returning to the firm as an associate. Jay is part of our employment law group and his practice is focused on assisting employers and employees successfully resolve workplace conflicts. He works with clients to ensure that appropriate employment agreements and policies are implemented within the workplace.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science at the University of Ottawa, Jay received his J.D. from Queen’s University, Faculty of Law, where he had the opportunity to represent clients as a litigation caseworker at Queen’s Legal Aid and as a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada. He also honed his legal research skills as a volunteer editor with the Queen’s Law Journal and received the Queen’s Law Prize in Tax Policy.

Prior to attending law school, Jay was heavily involved in the sports journalism scene, having covered a wide range of sporting events, from speed skating to football to ringette. He has a growing sports law practice providing legal advice to National Sports Organizations (NSOs).

Jay is fluent in Korean and is happy to interact with his clients in Korean.
