PROFILE

Chantale joined Brazeau Seller Law as a new member of the corporate, wills and estate planning groups in December 2022. Before joining Brazeau Seller Law, Chantale practiced in the areas of corporate law, wills and estate planning and administration with a mid-sized firm in Ottawa. With a commitment to provide value-added and cost-efficient legal solutions, Chantale focuses her practice on business and commercial transactions as well as business restructuring, tax, succession and estate planning. Fully bilingual, Chantale is always pleased to offer legal advice in English and French.

Chantale graduated from the University of Ottawa French Common Law program and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017. While in law school, she won the Tax Executives Institute Award for highest marks in tax law. Chantale has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), and she also has a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CGA). Prior to her law practice, Chantale had an extensive career in the federal public service where she held positions of Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Financial Officer in government departments and Crown corporations.

This background in business and accounting is a unique and beneficial addition to Chantale’s legal skill set. It allows her to work collaboratively with accountants and financial planners alike to meet her client’s legal, financial and personal objectives.

Chantale currently provides pro bono services, as needed, to the Council on Aging of Ottawa.
