Trina, partner at Brazeau Seller Law, is an effective problem solver and trusted advisor to her clients. While having a broad business law background, Trina’s area of expertise is cannabis law. As head of BSL’s CannaLaw® group, Trina has emerged as a leading practitioner in cannabis law in Canada and is often called upon for comment and opinion.

The 2019 Chambers Canada guide ranks Trina as a Band 1 lawyer in Cannabis Law and she was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers™ in Canada 2020 in the field of Cannabis Law.  In 2019, she was named by Canadian Lawyer Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential lawyers in Canada, and Trina was named “Attorney of the Year” at the 2019 O’Cannabiz Industry Awards Gala.

Trina represents licensed cannabis cultivators, processors, medical sellers, adult-use retailers and ancillary cannabis industry service providers.  She also advises the cannabis industry association Cannabis Council of Canada (C3).

Trina is a registered trademark agent and provides counsel to her clients in protecting their intellectual property.

She studied at Queen’s University, where she earned Bachelor of Commerce and Juris Doctor degrees.

Advocacy and community involvement are very important to Trina. She sits on the board of directors of Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM), as well as Ottawa-based charity The Snowsuit Fund.
