Julia first joined Brazeau Seller as a summer student in 2021, completed her articles with the firm, and returned as an associate. She is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Real Estate groups, maintaining a broad, general practice focused on supporting business owners at all stages of the business lifecycle.

Julia advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with a practical, solutions-oriented approach. Her practice includes:

• Assisting with the purchase and sale of businesses, including both asset and share transactions;
• Advising on incorporations, reorganizations, and dissolutions with a focus on efficient corporate structuring;
• Advising on corporate and commercial financings, including secured lending transactions;
• Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, service agreements, and commercial leases; and
• Supporting clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, and leasing matters.

Julia also has experience assisting with bankruptcy and insolvency-related transactions and has developed particular insight working with professional corporations.

Julia works closely with entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, and professionals to provide clear, practical advice tailored to their objectives, whether they are starting a new venture, expanding operations, or preparing for a transition or exit.

Julia obtained her Bachelor of Social Sciences and Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. During her time at university, she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Golf Team and served as President of both the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Ottawa Law Classic, an annual charity hockey game supporting Do It For Daron.

Outside of her practice, Julia can often be found on the golf course in the summer, on the slopes in the winter, or exploring new destinations through her love of travel.
